confessions of a spendthrift
Well, I’ve done it. I’ve broken down and bought a paid account for my LJ. There are several reasons but the main ones have to do with a desire to possibly embed the journal into my site (in the re-design I’m working on) and to support LJ. I’ve used this service for a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a service I don’t mind supporting finically... at least for a little while. :> The thought of having more icons at my disposal is fun too!

*hello, my name is Jenny and I have LJ addiction issues* :>

Well I’m off to do some sewing. *yay* I’m not quite finished with my other commitments (continuing headaches have slowed me down all week) but I can’t take it anymore. Those stripes mock me every time I go in my bed room!

Well, you aren't a real LJ addict until you've upgraded your service so you can have 50 instead of 15 icons...

Yes, I'm that pathetic. ;) lol.

I'm thinking of eventually buying a paid for this account too. Although I really don't see a reason (outside of having more icons and a prettier layout), since if I ever switched to using a journal service for my website, I'd use Movable Type (much easier to interface into a established website--especially since you can have multiple blogs). Hope you figure out how to use it on your site though! :D Do let me know how it goes...

Love your icon, btw. ;)

Holy cow woman, 50 icons! That is a serious icon addiction. *grin* I can't even image having that many... of course a 1½ years ago I would have never imagined being on LJ, not S&S. :>

Yeah, I'm curious to see if I can get results I like with the embedded LJ thing. We'll see. I'm definitely on LJ to stay (for the foreseeable future anyway) and I'm hoping to incorporate the two identities (site & LJ) better. Sometimes I feel like I'm leading two separate online lives and it’s awkward. :>

Well, technically I don't have 50 uploaded at the moment--more like between 35-40. But you're right, I do have a serious icon addiction. ;) lol

Im definitely on LJ to stay

Until the next new thing comes along to improve online communication... ;) hehehehe.

Again, good luck with interfacing LJ onto your site--I shall be picking your brain about the whole thing! :)

Thanks. *smile* Well, don't hold your breath, the re-design's debut won't be for a while. My plate is already pretty full and this will be a complete overhaul using Dreamweaver (HTML, CSS and possibly PHP).

I'm also refining the whole structure and content of the site, so it will be still be interesting to visitors, but also enjoyable and easy to maintain. At the moment it's a bit of a drag and there are even some sections I'm ready to prune back consideribly or drop completly.

I'm almost afriad to count how many pages I have to change. It's going to be quite a project, but worth it in the end I think. *sigh*
