*waves* Hi! Yep, still here.

Not that you would know it from my posting or lack of it. I haven’t been getting any sewing done, apart from another quilt signature. I’ve continued to have those nasty sinus related headaches and even when I’m not in pain they tend to zap both my energy and motivation. About all I’m good for most of the time is vegging in front of the TV or surfing the net. Wretched weather.

I have also been suffering from acute sewing ADD. My mind hops from project to project and can’t seem to make up it’s mind on anything. Very annoying.

I am really stuck with my teens day dress, I just can’t decided what I want to do with that. I’m thinking very seriously about setting the whole idea aside for now and going straight into the evening gown. There are some good reasons to tackle a day dress first but at least I know exactly what I want to do for the evening ensemble and am anxious to start it…

I’m also trying to gear up for the 18th century draping class, which is in 10 days. I don’t have fabric yet but I do have a few possibilities. Nothing has jumped out and screamed at me for this project yet, you know? Hopefully serendipity will happen soon and I’ll find the perfect thing. If not, I do have a back up plan. :P

If you're reluctant about the day dress, I'd say skip it and work on the evening gown. When a sewing project calls, its best to listen ;)

Yeah, I'm leaning more and more towards doing just that. I mean why do things the easy way or in a logical manner anyway! *rolls eyes*

Knowing you

The minute you start on the evening dress you will start becoming interested in the Day dress, so the sooner you start the evening gown, the sooner the day dress will get finished. *ducks behind large mound of homework* :-P

Re: Knowing you

Hey! That isn't all homework... I spy a Harry Potter book and a PotC DVD in that mound! :>

*sticks out tongue*

So there.

I'm in the same boat. At least your two projects are from the same era. I'm waffling between Regency and the late 1860's.

But yeah, cracked code is right. It's one of the cardinal laws of costuming, and possibly sewing in general.

Well, I'd give my self a pat on the back except that I am gearing up for the 18th century dress too. I guess two out of three projects isn't bad though. *hee hee*

Ah, yes, those cardinal rules of costuming. This one is probably up there with "thou shalt begin planning thy next project long before thy current one is complete"... :>
