Now you know what it's like here in California! LOL! Honestly a 6.0 isn't really that bad; you get used to them and there's an "OMG!" factor at first, but so long as there's no lasting damage, you pick up the things that fell over, get tired of the sensationalist news coverage, and go back to whatever you were doing before it happened (usually, for us, sleep!).

When I heard it was in VA, I thought of you! Glad to hear you're okay! :)

It's funny all the years I lived in CA I never experienced an earthquake ('cause we aren't counting #1 & #2!). I used to feel a little left out!

Sounds like it's a much more exciting thing here in Virginia though since we aren't prepared for them here, the buildings aren't built for them and this is the biggest earthquake in the state since 1897. Definitely more bang for your buck. :P

LOL it's CA saying hi to you!

Yeah when I heard that DC had evacuated, I didn't blame them at all. My first thought would have been most likely the same as everyone else's (terrorist attack), but even an earthquake would be cause to skedaddle because of the buildings!

I heard the Washington Monument might be tilting...!??!?!
