Costuming Year in Review
Everyone else is doing it so here I go...

For me:
Poe dress revamp - added a bertha and about 20,000 yards of bias-cut ruffles
the frosting hat - which I still haven't worn. :<
blue linen stays - yay for new stays
blue print ruffled jacket - one of my most favorite costumes EVAR!
blue velvet pouf hat - totally threw this together last minute but I love it
Queen of the Night - really I was just trying to keep my "Best in Sparkle" award
Poe bonnet - not bad for my first bonnet
Elenore hat - another hat I adore that I've never worn!
Effigy stays - my first experiment with reed boning - so comfy
c1804 sateen stays - the replacement pair after my old stays fell apart at Costume Con
Lizzie dress - Toiled in Feb, made in Nov - how is that for procrastination? :>

Worked on but not finished:
pink striped round gown - this is on the 2010 list
Pink Venetian - not feeling this one either at the moment...
Can you tell I was very CADD for the Ren Faire this year?
Charles dresswill probably remain in it's current state for some time - so not motivated on this one
Pimpernel Revamp - will probably remain in it's current state forever

Other:
CD's regency drawstring dress
TR's sundress
TB's 1860 bonnet
LD's pleated silk 18th cen hat
black lace bias-cut skirt
wool/linen bias-cut skirt

Queen of the night was my favorite - Soooo grand and chic and sparkly all at once!

But the blue pouf hat and the floral jacket and petti were awfully nice too...

Thanks so much - you are sweet! I know I’m a brat but I'm still trying to reconcile the vision in my head for QotN and the actual result. It's growing on me though... slowly but surely. It still needs some more accessories I think and then I’ll be much more pleased with it.

You did some gorgeous stuff this year, and I still want to kidnap your frosting hat, do you think you'd notice?!

I also love the Queen of the night! And the frosting hat and blue velvet hat. These have inspired me to try hatmaking this year.

Seriously gorgeous work this year!

You know what my favorite thing about this review is though? All the memories associated with these costumes like the night you threw together the blue pouf hat. ;)
