Cool! For someone who's feeling bad you sure seem to have gotten a lot done! I'm afraid I probably won't be starting yours until school starts for the boys and I have a little more free time. ;)

btw, the flappy thingy at the back is called a curtain on 1860s bonnets, I'm assuming it's the same for earlier period ones...

They are all sit on the bed and quietly work (with the occasional sit at the machine for a few minutes) sort of projects, so it's worked out. Somehow the most fiddly things don't seem so frustrating when you don't want to move off the bed anyway! Nice thing about small projects is that I can cut them out while sitting on the bed too, just fold out only half of the gridded board on the bed and sit on the other half. Sewing in one's bed room does have some advantages I guess. :>

No worries. Like I said I'm in absolutely no rush for mine. I probably won't get started on the frock until the new year anyway and then I have no idea where I will wear it. Umm.. maybe the pirate feast. That is an idea. :P
