oh well
Umm... my "Green Pistachio" silk taffeta came the other day. I don't really like it. Rather I should say it's not what I had in mind. It's a little darker and more teal than I wanted. I was hoping for something more aquamarine. Oh well.

Just as well I put the Redingote on hold.

It's the first time I've bought fabric online (without swatches) and not been happy. Not a bad record. I'll come up with something to do with it I'm sure ...someday. Maybe B will like it for something. :>

It sounds like exactly the colour I have been looking for. Would you consider selling it to me?!

Just thinking the same! And poor you Jenny-Rose and everything. But green silk! *Overtaken by greed*

*hee hee* Well just in case you need it, this where I got it. Just don't line the cuffs and collars of a navy blue Redingote with it! :>

Can I think about it a couple of days? It's actually starting to grow on me a little. Still not what I had in mind but I might end up liking it in the end. I haven't decided yet. Either way here is where I got it, in case you need more than 1.5 yards. :>

Make a hat! You can never have to many hats. ;p *grins evilly at encouraging CADD* (But I bet it'll go beautifully with your hair colour!)

Since you've already got others drooling over your fabric, I shan't offer yet another plea to buy you out...but I'm definitely having fun looking at the link!

BTW, you had mentioned a method of tying/fastening on Brunswick lower sleeves. I'm almost done with my figured velvet (really, chenille, but who's looking that closely?) 18th century hoodie, and would love to know how period people attached detachable sleeves.

Oh, ha ha ha! I was just looking at fabrics at Exclusive Silks, and liking the pistachio, and thought, didn't Jenny-Rose just mention buying a "pistachio" fabric and not liking it? Hmm, maybe I'll look up that post and offer to buy it, if it's this one. . . But I see you already have had offers! Well, great minds think alike, right? I just had to tell you and amuse you. Yes. (I should really get back to work now. . .)

PS How true-to-life are the photos on the web site? Does it look blue like that?
