The gown is so pretty! I love the bee buttons!

Did you see that 19th C. Costume in Detail book? There is a lovely net shawl that has bees on it in the back of the book - it is so cool!

Sadly no, I haven't seen that book. I'm not that into most of the 19th century fashion so I wasen't that interested in it. Of course, no one told me about the bees, I may have to see if I can barrow it from someone now! *hee hee*

Honestly, I'm not either (into 19thc fashion) - at least not Civil War era. But that book is totally to-die-for, I have to say!!

Check out G Street -- I saw some silk-faced Chinese brocade with a bee pattern at our local.

Oh you mean the green silk brocade with the gold bees? Yep, I drool over it each time I see it at G Streets. I just haven't come up with the perfect project to justify buying it for yet. *grin*
