It's CosCol planning time!!
My CosCol registration book arrive today – yay!

Lots of different classes and subjects than in years passed. Lots of ones I’m interested in too, actually it’s a little overwhelming actually. The real question of the hour is do I want to take a workshop class from Janea Whitaker on Calash Bonnets. I think they are interesting but I’ve never really wanted to wear one if you know what I mean. Still it would be cool to take a class from her (for a very reasonable cost vs. the T&B classes here). I’m still pondering…

Thank goodness my class (Survival of the Fittest: fitting yourself by yourself) doesn’t conflict with any of my “I must take that class!” classes. *whew* Although some of my friend’s classes do. Moo. It’s the bad thing about having so many friends teaching this year – I want to go be the supportive friendly face that smiles back at them and cheers on my peeps but it’s going to be impossible. *sigh*

Hahhaha, they just look so weird, & not in a "cool, I like weird" way.

Oh & at the W'burg symposium, Janea & co. had made a bunch more of them, which were in the presentation. Plus the special Jamestown artifacts tour I went on had 2 surviving calashes. So maybe that's why she's teaching a class.

Yeah T&B just did a class on them too, along with the muffs that were done at the symposium. Muffs I'd have signed up for right away but calashs - weird and really where am I going to wear it?

Yep. My thought exactly. I love me some fugly fashions, but calashes are too hideous even for my weirdo tastes.

LOL! It does go beyond fugly doesn't it?! Hee hee

I love your icon! :> I'll cross my fingers for you too! All the classes I'm most excited about are unlimited this year which is kinda fun.

I got my packet today, too. And was about to sign up for the calash class until I realized it conflicts with the Tea. I'm really hoping for the Victorian corsetry workshop, but at the same time, I feel like all the unlimited classes I want to take are on Friday... Like yours.

There is so much to see and do, more than ever this year with so many great classes plus the extra ice cream social and the learning circles. It's so hard to have to make choices - it's going to be a jam packed couple of days for sure!

I don't have my book yet!

I actually want a calash. I don't know why, but I do. A lot with me depends on how long a class is too! I'm so lazy :)

It does seem like a Katherine sort of thing... :> It's 1:30-4:45 on Sunday. That is one of the reasons I'm hesitating, I'm so selfish with my time at CosCol- do I really want to give up my whole Sunday afternoon for something I'll hardly ever wear? *continues to ponder*

Your class sounds great! It's definitely something I can use, at least. :D I'm so looking forward to meeting you!
